2015 N4C Baseball All-Conference Team
PALATINE, Ill. – Coaches from the North Central Community College Conference (N4C) recently met to vote for All-Conference teams, and three Harper College baseball players were recognized for their performance in the spring 2015 season. Sophomore Chuck Terron (Tyrone, Ga./Sandy Creek) was chosen to the First Team while sophomore Tyler Crussen (Wheeler, Ind. /Wheeler) and freshman Roy Pettingill (Mount Prospect, Ill. /St. Viator) were both selected to the Second Team.
Terron, a left fielder who also earned Second Team All-Region, hit for a robust .458 average in league play with nine RBIs, 17 runs, 33 hits, five doubles, two triples, 12 steals, and a .513 OBP in 24 games.
He played 44 games in the 2015 season, hitting a team-best .385 with a .443 OBP, one homer, 19 RBIs, 36 runs, 55 hits, nine doubles, two triples, and 22 stolen bases (10th in nation).
Crussen, a center fielder who also earned Second Team All-Conference as a freshman, stepped up his game in conference play with a .377 average, eight RBIs, 16 runs, 29 hits, four doubles, and 12 steals in 23 games.
He played 43 games this season, hitting .344 (second on team) with 13 RBIs, 28 runs, 55 hits, five doubles, three triples, and 16 stolen bases.
Pettingill, a designated hitter who was named First Team All-Region, hit for a .324 average with a homer, 14 RBIs, six, runs, 22 hits, and four doubles in 22 conference games.
For the year, he hit .343 with two homers, a team-high 26 RBIs, 14 runs, 47 hits, and 10 doubles in 42 games.
