PALATINE, Ill. – The Harper College men's cross country program can be called a modern day dynasty. The Hawks, who won their fifth straight national title at the 2015 DIII Men's Cross Country National Championship, were honored at the Harper College Fall Sports Banquet for their most recent accomplishment.

This year's team featured four runners who turned in All-American performances at nationals, led by a trio of sophomores. Sophomore Will Troman (/Streamwood) placed third at the national meet in a time of 27:15.7 on the 8K course, and sophomores Adam Brauer (Palatine, lll./Palatine) and T.J. Paton (Fairfield, Calif./Hersey) placed ninth and 11^th, respectively. Eddie Lamas (Schaumburg, Ill. /Schaumburg) also earned All-American status by running his best race of the year to place 14^th.

Kurtis Monahan (Inverness, Ill. /Barrington) saved his best for last at nationals, placing 18^th in the meet. Travis Rauch (Schaumburg, Ill. /Schaumburg) took 31^st place overall, and sophomore Omar Alhayek (Schaumburg, Ill./Schaumburg) claimed 34^th place.

Troman was voted Team MVP by his teammates. He was also named the Men's Central Region Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for his individual title at the NJCAA Region IV Men's Cross Country Championship Oct. 31 at Harper College.
