2015 Region IV Baseball Tournament
SCHAUMBURG BOOMERS STADIUM TO HOST NJCAA REGION 4 NATIONAL QUALIFIER BASEBALL EVENT

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – Schaumburg Boomers Stadium will be hosting the second annual NJCAA Region 4 National Qualifying Baseball Tournament from Friday, May 15 through Sunday, May 17. Four NJCAA DII teams and two NJCAA DIII teams have qualified for this event.
This three-day tournament features the top regional teams in NJCAA Division II and III from Region 4. Tickets are now available and can be purchased through the Boomers Box Office in person, online at boomersbaseball.com or over the phone at 847-461-3695 for $5 per game. Stadium entrance will be up the stairs on the 1B side, after purchasing tickets on the lower/ground level. There will be a concession stand in operation.
In 2014, Madison (Wis.) College defeated Kankakee Community College in the Division II Region 4 World Series Qualifier Tournament Championship. At the Division III level, Waubonsee Community College knocked off Joliet Junior College to advance to the NJCAA World Series.

TOURNAMENT TEAMSDivision II#1 Seed Madison College WolfPack (39-10) – Madison, WI – Ranked No. 8 in latest NJCAA Poll
How they got here: Won the Madison sectional over College of Lake County and Prairie State College. They defeated Lake County 5-0 and then took down Prairie State, 13-1. Finally, they won the sectional crown with an 11-2 win over Lake County.
#3 Seed Oakton Community College Raiders (39-15) – Des Plaines, IL
How they got here: Won the Oakton sectional over Sauk Valley Community College and McHenry County College. After a 4-2 loss to McHenry in their sectional opener, the Raiders bounced back to win three straight games and capture the sectional title. They knocked off Sauk Valley, 9-0, and then had to defeat McHenry twice. They accomplished that feat with 5-1 and 5-4 wins over the Scots.
#5 Seed Black Hawk College Braves (34-22) – Moline, IL
How they got here: Won the Kankakee sectional over Kankakee Community College and Moraine Valley Community College. After a 9-5 loss to Moraine Valley in the sectional opener, the Braves won the next three games to win the sectional championship. They knocked off Kankakee, 8-6, before topping Moraine Valley 7-0 to reach the sectional title game. In that games, Black Hawk bested Kankakee 4-1 to advance.
#11 Seed Morton College Panthers (16-36) – Cicero, IL
How they got here: The Panthers, who came into the sectional with a 13-35 record, completed one of the more improbable runs in Region IV Sectionals history by winning the Elgin Sectional over Elgin Community College and Carl Sandburg College. Despite losing a 4-3 game to Carl Sandburg to start the tournament, the Panthers won three tight ballgames to advance to the Region IV Finals at Boomers Stadium. They knocked Elgin out with a 4-2 win and needed to defeat Carl Sandburg twice to advance, and they did just that. They won in dramatic fashion with 5-4 and 6-5 wins to take the championship.

Division IIIJoliet Junior College Wolves (33-23) – Joliet, IL – Ranked No. 10 in latest NJCAA Poll
How they got here: Won the Joliet sectional over Harper College and Rock Valley College. The Wolves topped Harper 3-2 in 10 innings in their opener and then eliminated Rock Valley with a 14-13 win. On Sunday, Joliet captured the sectional title with a 7-4 win over Harper.
Illinois Valley Community College Eagles (33-17) – Oglesby, IL
How they got here: Won the DuPage sectional over College of DuPage and Waubonsee Community College. The Eagles edged Waubonsee, 2-1, in their opener before losing 13-3 to DuPage. On the last day, IVCC defeated Waubonsee 16-8 and DuPage 2-1 to take the sectional crown.
