Region IV Softball All-Tournament Team 2016

JOLIET, Ill. – The Harper College softball team concluded its season on Friday at the NJCAA Region IV Division III softball tournament with two tough losses. However, there was one Hawk player who caught the eyes of the Region IV coaches. Freshman infielder Courtney Russ (Lake Zurich, Ill. /Lake Zurich) was selected to the Region IV All-Tournament Team.

Russ, the Hawks' leadoff hitter, was 1-for-2 with a double and a walk against Rock Valley College. In the second game vs. Joliet, the freshman was 1-for-4 with a run scored. Defensively, she recorded 11 putouts without an error at first base despite spending most of her time at third base during the season.
