Kushner Honored at the National Level

PALATINE, Ill. – The NJCAA national office announced Wednesday the Women's Soccer Players of the Week for all matches played Sept. 14-20. Harper College sophomore forward Kassidy Kushner (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) was honored as the NJCAA Division III National Player of the Week.

Kushner had an outstanding week of soccer, starting with a four-goal, two-assist performance in a 13-1 win over Joliet Junior College Sept. 16. Kushner followed up that game by scoring both goals, including the game-winner in the 64th minute, in a 2-1 win over Madison College Sept. 18. Finally, she recorded four shots against Rochester Community & Technical College Sept. 19.

For the week, the sophomore totaled six goals, two assists, 14 points, 19 shots and 12 shots on goal.

In seven games this season, Kushner is tied with teammate Danielle Reptowski (Hanover Park, Ill./Schaumburg) for the team lead in goals with eight and is second in assists with three.
