Gutt Named National Athlete of the Week

Harper College freshman cross country runner Ali Gutt was named the NJCAA Division III Women’s National Athlete of the Week by the USTFCCCA. (Jim Cummins).

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Earlier this week, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its National Athletes of the Week in Division I, Division II, Division III, and NJCAA. Harper women's cross country runner Ali Gutt (Schaumburg, Ill./Schaumburg) was named the NJCAA Division III Women's National Athlete of the Week.

Gutt, a freshman from Schaumburg High School, has been one of the top NJCAA Division III runners this year. She has finished as Harper's top runner in all five meets this season. Most recently, Gutt finished sixth overall in 23:09.8 on the 6K course at the Benedictine Eagle Invitational.
