Harper Runs out of Steam at Trinity Christian

PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Harper women's basketball team held a one-point edge at halftime over the Trinity Christian College JV team on Friday night but ran out of steam in the second half, losing 68-52 to the hosts.

The Hawks (4-6) led 27-26 at the break, but the Trolls dominated the second half by the score of 42-25. Point guard Kim Herzog (/Buffalo Grove) led the way for Harper with a career-high 20 points on 6-of-13 shooting. Joslyn Nicholson (/Cary-Grove) posted her sixth double-double of the season with 19 points and a career-high 18 rebounds. Ashonte Sims (/Normal Community West) scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds.

Cali Vink scored a game-high 23 points on 7-of-14 shooting for the Trolls. Samantha Andringa scored 15 points, and Simona Sidaugaite had 14.

Harper is back in action on Tuesday as they play at Oakton Community College (4-5). Tipoff is slated for 5 PM.
